4-On-3 Triangle Play #3A (“Back Door – Quick Stick”) & Play #3B (“Back-Door – Z Pass”)
INTERMEDIATE POWER PLAYS
3A. Back Door – "Quick Stick"
- Whichever shooter has the ball passes it safely to either crease player.
- The crease player sends a skip pass to the opposite-handed shooter, who quick sticks a pass back to the original passer, who quick sticks another pass crease-to-crease for a quick stick shot (Option #1).
- A second crease-to-crease pass is also possible (Option #2) and if there are any bad passes the crease player can just send another skip pass and try to get the quick sticks going again.
3B. Back Door – "Quick Stick - Z Pass"
- One shooter passes to the other shooter, receiving a quick stick pass back.
- The original shooter who started with the ball then sends a quick stick skip pass to the far-side crease player for a shot (Option #1), or a crease-to-crease quick stick pass for a quick stick shot for more advanced players (Option #2).
