6C. "Empty - Shooter"

The ball carrier at the crease takes a sweeping top-side cut on their defender once the other offensive player on the weak-side is standing on the top of their crease (on their proper floor-side).

The ball carrier shoots (Option #1 - top diagram) if they are able to get overtop of the pick from their teammate standing at the top of the crease (who "finesses the pick").

If the ball carrier can't get over the pick they should be able to step-back or bull rush then step back, dragging for a shot.

If both defenders go to the ball carrier, they make a dump pass to the picker, who rolls once the ball carrier runs by them (Option #2 - bottom diagram).
