Key/Rules 1- Crease man is always the 1st slide from up top. Could be D-man or Midfielder 2- Crease man is always between his man and the ball. ALWAYS Slide with the body ! 3- No one catches the ball on the crease. Sticks up in the passing lanes. Every ground ball is ours ! 4- Defenseman adjacent on the ball side should always pressure his man, do not give him the easy pass in the BOX. The blind adjacent, when the ball is up top, is going to be the second slide in most instances. 5- The 3rd slide splits the two offensive players on the back side 6- When there is more then one person on the crease: PLAY SIDES. Crease man closest to the ball is always the 1st slide. 7- Watch for cutters and back door cuts … head on a swivel … see MAN / see BALL … REPEAT !!! 8- The person who gets beat; sprints to the crease; than the crease man tells them where to go. Look for the open man. 9- Commit yourself 100% to the slide, or don’t slide at all. TALK: What Defense are we in? What formation is the offense in ? Who has ball? Who has 1st slide?
