4-Strong Offensive System (“Double Down-Seal On/Off-Ball”)
INTERMEDIATE OFFENSIVE SYSTEM
- This 4-player strong-side system is generally for when players are stuck on offense with 4-same-handed players and 1 opposite-handed (ideally with good feeding and/or one-on-one skills).
- In this situation, start one of the 4 players at their wrong-side crease position, with the single player (at the weak-side shooter position) receiving a pass from the point player to trigger the system.
- The weak-side shooter then passes to the player at the wrong-side crease position while the point player and shooter on the strong-side Double-Seal at the shooter position, with the crease player coming overtop as Option #1, the shooter rolling as Option #2 and the single opposite-handed player being a threat as Option #3; this player (Option #3) can also be passed to at any time by the ball carrier.
- If none of those options are open, the crease player who came over the double-seal cuts through the middle to the opposite-side crease position, with the ball carrier running out from behind the net and coming over the same double-seal action on-ball (Option #4); with the roller re-sealing in coordination with the original point player (which is part of their roles).
- Note: This system can also work with 5 same-handed players
