INTERMEDIATE SITUATIONS

1. Off-Ball - "Up-Pick"  

• With under 10 seconds on the shot clock, the on-ball shooter passes to the same-handed crease player who carries the ball behind the net.

• As this is happening (simultaneously), the off-ball crease sets and east-west up pick for the off-ball shooter.  The off-ball crease player then steps overtop of the pick (Option #1), with the picker rolling to the middle (Option #2).  

• The crease player passes to whichever option is open and if nobody is open dumps the ball into the low corner, with all other offensive players running hard to the bench.

2. Off-Ball - "Double-Seal"

• Starting with 1 player on the weak-side with the ball and 3 players on the strong-side, an off-ball "double-down" seal is set by both the point player and the shooter with under 10 seconds in the shot clock.   The off-ball crease player preemptively runs high filling into the shooter position, receiving a pass from the player at the weak-side shooter if wide open (Option #1).   

• If either "sealer" is open they should roll to the net as a secondary option, otherwise the lower of the two sealers should pop-out and run overtop of another double seal, with the original crease player who ran high now sealing their check if they weren't open.

• If both double-down seal attempts don't work the ball carrier should dump the ball into the low corner, with all other offensive players running hard to the bench.

• Variation:  Instead of "double down-seals" this play can also be run as two "double up-seals" with the ball carrier running underneath the seals after they catch the pass.
