3 offensive midfielders will arrange themselves in the 2-3-1 set, with defensive midfielders covering them. One attackman will play behind the net, with a close defender covering them. Midfielders will use the 2-3-1 motions in an attempt to create a quality shot. The attackman will remain behind the net as a support option, as well as seeking out 'hang-ups'.
